Join us, Jessica and David, for a delightful pre-Christmas adventure, as we return for a 3rd year by high-speed train to the heart of Spain’s vibrant capital, Madrid.

We have seats on the 07:51 Ouigo train from Alicante, which will whisk us comfortably through the countryside and into Madrid Chamartín station by 10:23. From here, you can dive straight into your day if you’ve packed light – or you can opt to take a cab (not included) the 5km to the hotel. Alternatively travel with us as a group on the metro (ticket included) for six stops on Line 10 to Alonso Martínez, just 200 metres from the hotel door. 

Madrid is truly magical at this time of year. The city sparkles with festive lights, and every corner seems to offer something new to enjoy. Whether you’d like to visit one of the world-class museums, browse the shops and Christmas markets, see a musical, or simply stroll through the beautifully lit streets, Madrid invites you to set your own pace. Why not take in the famous Christmas lights aboard the open-top bus or enjoy the charming Cortylandia show, a festive tradition beloved by locals?

After a comfortable night’s sleep, you can indulge in a lovely late breakfast and then continue discovering Madrid’s many treasures. Later, we’ll meet back at the hotel and return to Chamartín station together by metro (again, tickets are included), ready to board our return train at 18:45.
