We are very excited to announce the return of this amazing One Night Wonder, researched and personally hosted by us, Jessica and David, especially for you! Designed to showcase one of Spain’s extraordinary geological treasures, this tour offers an unmissable visit to  the world’s largest accessible crystal geode.

Your adventure begins with a scenic drive, pausing at the coast for morning coffee beside the gently rolling waves. We then journey to a hilltop 18th-century castle aboard a charming tourist train, offering sweeping 360-degree panoramas of the Mediterranean. Here, you will step inside the fascinating interpretation centre and don a virtual reality headset to safely “walk inside” the glittering Pulpí Geode—a breathtaking preview of the wonders to come. Afterwards, we check into our sea front hotel with ample time to stroll along the beach promenade or unwind with a drink before a delicious buffet dinner with a complimentary glass of wine.

The following morning, we travel to the rugged Sierras to marvel at Europe’s largest collection of luminescent minerals. Then comes the main highlight: descending into the Mina Rica to witness the world-famous Pulpí Geode in person. Walking through cool, flat passages with an English-speaking guide, you will reach the sparkling cavern to gaze upon giant, fingernail-thin gypsum crystals illuminated in all their splendid glory. Once the whole group of 15 have been wowed by this spectacular natural phenomenon it is time to slowly wind our way back up the 160 steps, pausing as much and as long as necessary before wandering back along the tunnel to the brilliant daylight. It is obligatory to wear trainers and only the guide is allowed to take photos, all of which will be sent to you via email. There is one more treat in store! A picnic will be waiting for you at the picnic tables once you exit the mine.
