Experience an enchanting, two-day escape with Jessica and David as we step back in time. This tailor-made journey blends the wonder of childhood toys, the thrill of retro arcade gaming, and the design of classic cars into a vibrant wave of pure nostalgia. 

Our voyage of discovery begins amidst an extraordinary collection of locally manufactured toys, where an expert guide will lead us through more than 200 years of playtime history. We then transition to the captivating evolution of the doll industry, housed within the architectural splendour of an Art Nouveau manor house. As we ascend through the grand building, the displays transition from beautifully handmade figurines of yesteryear to more modern creations, culminating on the top floor with the spectacular ‘Great City of Playmobil’ featuring thousands of intricate pieces. After working up an appetite, we indulge in a traditional Menu del Día, perfectly fuelling us for an afternoon of retro arcade gaming. This vibrant, interactive space offers the ultimate blast from the past – and endless photo opportunities which will impress the grandchildren – with a vast, playable collection of classic arcade machines, pinball tables, and vintage consoles from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. We conclude our first day by checking into our comfortable hotel in Alcoy, leaving your evening free to relax, explore, and dine at your leisure in this vibrant university town.

After a delicious breakfast the following morning, we head to the coast for a guided tour of a state-of-the-art motor museum. This impressive venue showcases a spectacular permanent collection of more than 80 iconic and classic vehicles, featuring crowd-favourites like the Back to the Future DeLorean, Knight Rider’s KITT, a rare Aston Martin Lagonda, and historic government limousines. Mid-tour, we pause for morning refreshments (not included) at a vibrant, 1950s-themed diner, where drinks and treats are served right from an authentic retro food truck. Our journey then takes us to a delightful, family-owned Italian restaurant in Elche for a superb Menu del Día, before we round off our trip with one final look at days gone by. We will visit a fascinating local heritage museum, which is currently hosting a special, temporary exhibition of historic toys.
