High-Speed Sparkle! Get ready for a festive adventure like no other! For the first time ever, we’re heading to Barcelona by high-speed train – and we’d love you to join us. Hop aboard with Jessica and David as we glide comfortably from Alicante to the heart of Catalonia in just over five hours.
Our hotel, the Eurostars Cristal Palace, is right in the middle of the action – perfect for exploring on foot or jumping on the nearby metro or hop-on hop-off bus. You’ll enjoy comfy rooms, a hot buffet breakfast each morning, and a fabulous location just steps from many of the must-see sights.
You’ll have plenty of time to explore at your own pace – whether it’s soaking up the festive energy on La Rambla, marvelling at Gaudí’s iconic Sagrada Família and whimsical Casa Batlló, or strolling through the narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter. Don’t miss the colourful mosaics and playful sculptures of Park Güell or the sweeping views from Montjuïc Hill. Art lovers can enjoy the Picasso Museum, while football fans might fancy a trip to the legendary Camp Nou.
And then there’s the magic of the Llums de Nadal – Catalan for Christmas lights. With three evenings in the city, you’ll have plenty of time to take in the sparkle: from the enchanting open-top bus tour through the illuminated streets, to the breathtaking Els Llums de Sant Pau, where the magnificent former hospital, with its Gaudí inspired architecture, is transformed into a glowing wonderland. Don’t miss the Mar de Llums in the Jardins del Baluard of the Museu Maritim or the Christmas fair and stalls along the Marina. Added to this is the spectacular Magic Fountain show (hopefully it will be working again), a mesmerising mix of light, music and dancing water, or the sheer delight of strolling down La Rambla, beneath trees with twinkling light clad branches, casting a warm festive glow over this iconic boulevard and filling air with festive cheer.
