Torrevieja Easter 2024 EuroTourGuide Coach Tours

The Semana Santa parades in Torrevieja have been declared as being of Provincial Tourist Interest. During 2024 there will be daily processions from Domingo de Ramos, Palm Sunday on the 24th March until Domingo de Resurraccion, Easter Sunday on the  31st March, including Saturday when there will be a drum procession.

Below is the programme, in English, including the route of each parade and the associations or brotherhoods which will be participating in it. The best parades to watch are the ‘big’ processions at 20:00 on Good Friday and 08:00 on Easter Sunday. For more information take a look at the official Semana Santa Torrevieja website.
Palm Sunday 24th March Domingo de Ramos
  • 10:30 Blessing of the Palms at the Sagrado Corazon Church.
  • Palm Procession. Route: Plaza de Oriente, Zoa, Caballero de Rodas, Zoa finishing in the Plaza de la Constitucion
  • 21:00 Procession of Las Mantillas. Route: Plaza de Oriente, Zoe, Ramón y Cajal, Avenida de la Libertad, Paseo Vistalegre, Concepción, Ramón Gallud, Clemente Gosálvez, Caballero de Rodas finishing in the Plaza de la Constitución
Holy Monday 25th March Lunes Santo
  • 21:30 Solemn Procession. Route: Plaza de la Constitución, Caballero de Rodas, Patricio Pérez, Ramón Gallud, Joaquin Chapaprieta, La Paz, Azorín, Caballero de Rodas finishing in the Plaza de la Constitución.
Holy Tuesday 26th March Martes Santo
  • 21:30 Solemn Procession. Route: Plaza de la Constitución, Caballero de Rodas, Patricio Pérez, Ramón Gallud, Concepción, Paseo Vistalegre, Joaquin Chapaprieta, Caballero de Rodas finishing in the Plaza de la Constitución.
Holy Wednesday 27th March Miercoles Santo
  • 21:30 Solemn Procession. Route: Plaza de Oriente, Zoa, to the intersection with the Ramón Gallud, where it joins with the other procession in an act known as Encuentro en la Vía Dolorosa and then continues along the Ramón Gallud, Patricio Pérez, Campoamor, Vicente Blasco Ibañez, Azorin, Caballero de Rodas to the Plaza de la Constitución.
  • 22:00 Solemn Procession. Route: Plaza de la Constitucion, Caballero de Rodas, Maria Parodi to the intersection with the Ramón Gallud, where it joins with the other procession in an act known as Encuentro en la Vía Dolorosa and then continues along the Ramón Gallud, Patricio Pérez, Campoamor, Vicente Blasco Ibañez, Azorin, Caballero de Rodas to the Plaza de la Constitución.
Holy Thursday 28th March Jueves Santo
  • 22:00 Solemn Procession. Route: Plaza de la Constitución, Caballero de Rodas, Orihuela, Campoamor, Turco, Gabriel Miró, Orihuela, Caballero de Rodas to the Templo Arciprestal.
  • 23:59 Solemn Procession del Descendimiento de Cristo Procession. Route: Plaza del Calvario, Santisima Trinidad, San Jose, Maria Parodi and Caballero de Rodas to the Templo Arciprestal.
Good Friday 29th March Viernes Santo
  • 19:00 Entierro de Cristo Procession. Route: Plaza de la Constitucion, Caballero de Rodas, Patricion Perez, Ramon Gallud, Moriones y Caballero de Rodas to the Templo Arciprestal.
Easter Sunday 31st March Domingo de Pascual
  • 08:00 Hallelujah Procession. Route: Plaza de la Constitucion, Caballero de Rodas, Azorín, Fotógrafos Darblade, to the intersection with Calle Concepción where it meets the other, for the Encuentro, Calles Concepción, Ramón Gallud, Bazán y Caballero de Rodas to the Plaza de la Constitucion.
  • 08:00 Hallelujah Procession. Route: Plaza de la Constitucion, Caballero de Rodas, Clemente Gosálvez, Fotógrafos Darblade to the intersection with Calle Concepción for the Encuentro, Calle Concepción, Ramón Gallud, Bazán y Caballero de Rodas to the Plaza de la Constitucion.
Both processions will meet at the crossroads of Calle Concepción and Fotógrafos Darblade, where the ‘Encuentro’ or encounter will take place. During this event petals will fall from the balconies of the surrounding buildings and the traditional Hallelujahs will be sung.
