The Fiesta of the May Crosses will take place in Alicante City from the 2nd to teh 5th May 2024. During these days the residents of the Santa Cruz neighbourhood decorate their streets and houses with different themes, including a crosses made of flowers, in the hope of winning the prize for the best decorations. There is a packed programme of events which includes parades, parties and firecrackers! It is an ideal opportunity to take a walk from the marina, past the town hall and around the narrow streets of the old town which make up the Santa Cruz district. You can even walk all the way up to the St Barbara Castle which sits on top of Mount Benacantil at a height of 166 meters.
