Benejuzar is a small, compact and traditional village with a large square located around the Rosario Church and the town hall. A couple of market stalls are set up in the square every Friday morning. The auditorium offers a selection of concerts, there is an indoor heated swimming pool and a walk or cycle ride can be enjoyed along the banks of the Rio Segura, to Algorfa in one direction and Orihuela in the other direction.
The grand Pilar Santuario sits on the hill above Benejuzar and is the destination of the annual Romeria every October. It has stunning views towards the Orihuela Mountain. Surrounding the sanctuary is the Sierra de Benejúzar Natural Park, which has several unmarked but well worn walking and cycling trails taking in the Alto de la Escotera at 195m. In the Zona Ocio la Pilarica there are a couple of barbecue areas and an outdoor summer only swimming pool.
