Elche CF One point gained or Two points lost?

EuroTourGuide Match Report Elche CF v Celta Vigo 6th November 2020
Elche CF for the 2nd time this season kicked off the next round of La Liga matches last Friday. They took on Galician based Celta de Vigo at the Martinez Valero, where it was a warm 24 degrees, despite being a late autumn evening.
Elche, started in 10th place with 10 points from 6 games, and Celta were 1 place above the relegation zone with 6 points from 8 games. The two teams last faced each other in March 2015, when they drew 1-1. Then like now, Celta's starting line featured their all time top goal scorer, Iago Aspas. He has scored 152 goals for the club over a period of 11 seasons. He has also played for Liverpool and, if you ask me he more than resembles the black haired cartoon character Dennis the Menace!
After just 4 minutes Elche went 1 up! Following a 4 player pile up in front of the Celta goal, VAR ruled a hand ball. Fidel comfortably sent it into the back of the net. Edgar Badia proved a saviour yet again for Elche in goal. His left foot making contact with the shot by the Celta Vigo player Brais who had broken clear of the Elche defence. Just minutes later, Badia saved Brais's second shot, this time with a two handed dive. However the equalizer came on 41 minutes when Santi Mina belted it from 20 yards.
Although Elche started the second half well, Celta were the better side with ex Valencia CF player Santi Mina looking extremely dangerous. The scoreline remained unchanged, more due to missed opportunities by the opposition, than to the skills of the Elche players. On the 60 minute mark Almiron, the Elche gaffer, made 3 substitutions including bringing on Guti, Elche CF's record signing at 4.5 million euros. 15 minutes later Nino came on for injured Rigoni and Santa Mina came off for Celta, whilst Badia was brought to the ground by his own player and Celta's all time highest goal scorer got a yellow card! On 84 minutes Tete Moremte Elche #11 missed a golden opportunity to take the lead, in what has been a very open and exciting game.
After the one week break for the International Matches, Elche CF's will play their 2nd Derby game of the season as they travel to Valencia to play Levante on Saturday 21st November kick off at 14:00.
