Elche had to leave mainland Spain to fly to their rivals this week in Mallorca. A number of Elche fans took advantage of the great value flights and went to support the Franjiverdes in the aptly named 'Visit Mallorca Stadium' which was just over 50% full for the fixture.
On Saturday 23rd Elche CF were back on their home turf where they faced Barcelona based Espanyol. Although only a couple of places separated the two teams in the table, Espanyol were the feeling confident after their 2-1 win against Real Madrid.
