The Calendars of Events are full this weekend as the Spanish have a public holiday on Friday to celebrate their Patron Saint and Hispanic Day!
Costa Blanca South
The annual Feria Outlet in Alicante will be offering Discounted Shopping along the Paseo de Federico Soto, and in Elche the annual Fireta del Campo will feature the rural heritage, gastronomy, landscapes, people and traditions of the area. There will be a meeting of Classic Motorbikes in Pilar de la Horadada on Sunday, and a Meeting of Classic Cars and Motorbikes in Los Montesinos also on Sunday. The Free Guided Countryside Walk will take place in Rojales on Sunday and the Free Guided Visits continue in Torrevieja.
Costa Blanca North
There are two Moors and Christians Fiestas this weekend. In Callosa d’en Sarria the Christians will be parading on Saturday and the Moors will be parading on Sunday. In El Campello both the Moors and Christians will be parading on Friday and Saturday, with the Fiesta finishing on Monday with the Solemn Procession and a large Firework display. The 7th Sea Tapas Route can be enjoyed in Javea this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with 22 participating establishments offering a sea food based tapa for 1,50€.
The 9th Discount Outlet Fair will take place in Cartagena until Monday, and there will be a Tapas Fair in Bullas from Thursday to Sunday. It is the 37th edition of the Agricultural Fair with agricultural machinery and products, antique and second hand market, new and used cars and gastronomy in Caravaca de la Cruz. In Los Alcazares the 21st edition of the Surfari, a wind surfing, kite surfing and stand up paddle competition, can be enjoyed all weekend, and the October Fiesta finishes also in Los Alcazares with the Day of the Caldero on Friday. The Fiesta in honour of the Virgen del Rosario finishes in Torre Pacheco, with a Countryside Parade on Friday, a Carnival Parade on Saturday and an Equestrian Parade and Solemn Procession followed by Fireworks on Sunday. There will be a Carnival Fancy Dress Float Parade in Alhama de Murcia on Saturday, and in Sucina the Fiesta draws to a close with the Romeria and a Paella Competition on Sunday, and a Firework Display on Monday.
