The Calendar of Events are as busy as the beaches, street markets and restaurants, so have a read and make some plans to experience some of the 20 events featured here! Click through to the Calendars for more information including details and timings.
Costa Blanca South
The Virgen del Carmen is being celebrated throughout the area; in Torrevieja there will be a Marine Procession at 20:30 on Tuesday, in Santa Pola there will be Fireworks on the Beach at 23:30 on Tuesday, and on the Isla de Tabarca there are Parades on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, with both a Maritime Procession and a Firework Display on Tuesday evening. The Moors and Christians Fiestas continues in Albatera with the Moors Parading on Saturday and the Christians Parading on Sunday. In the San Blas area of Alicante city the Moors will be parading on Sunday and the Christians on Saturday. The Los Montesinos Cultural Week continues with nightly performances, and there will be Concerts on both Friday and Saturday night in the Palm Park in Santa Pola. The miniature Steam Trains will be chugging around the track in Torrellano on Saturday afternoon, and there will be a Free Guided Visit in Torrevieja on Friday.
Costa Blanca North
The National Tourist Interest Fiesta, Bulls in the Sea, finishes in Denia on Sunday with a Firework Display. It is the middle weekend of the Fiestas in Moraira with a Murta Parade on Friday, Correfocs on Saturday and the Flower Offering on Sunday. The Moors and Christians Fiesta begins in Javea on Saturday night. The Virgen del Carmen is being honoured in Calpe on Tuesday with a Floral Offering, Marine Procession and Fireworks. In Altea there is another Musica a Boqueta Nit Concert on Thursday, and the 31st International Film Festival finishes on Sunday in L’Alfas del Pi.
The 22nd International Jazz Festival continues in San Javier with Concerts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday Night, and the Concerts in the Plaza continues in Los Alcazares every Thursday during July. The 8th International ‘I Love Sucina’ series of Live Bands on Fridays and Saturdays continues throughout July and August. There is a Grand Carnival Parade on Sunday for the Patron Saint Fiesta in San Pedro del Pinatar, and a Folk Exhibition on Friday for the Patron Saint Fiesta in Santiago de la Ribera.
