Cartagena Carnival

The city of Cartagena will be celebrating the Carnival from the 22nd February to the 5th March 2019. The parade has been given the prestigious title of being of 'Regional Tourist Interest' so is well worth enjoying! Although the carnival will be celebrated throughout the ten days, the main parade will take place on Saturday 2nd March at 18:00 with over 3,500 people participating!

Saturday 2nd March
18:00 Grand Carnival Parade Route: starting from Alameda de San Antón, Plaza de España Paseo de Alfonso XIII, Juan Fernández, Plaza Juan XXIII, Santa Florentina, Carmen, Tolosa Latour, Sagasta, Puerta de Murcia, Mayor and finishing in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

12:00 Children's Carnival in the Plaza de Juan XXIII
 
Tuesday 5th March
19:00 Parade of Don Carnal along Plaza del Ayuntamiento, Mayor, Plaza de San Sebastián, Puertas de Murcia, Santa Florentina, Plaza de Juan XXIII, Juan Fernández, Trafalgar finishing at the  Pabellón Central de Deportes.
22:00 Awarding of the Prizes in the Pabellon Central de Deportes Wssell de Guimbarda
23:55 Quema (burning) of Don Carnal at the Pabellon Central de Deportes Wssell de Guimbarda
