There are five Free Guided Visits to join this weekend, all of which require advanced booking. In Orihuela you can find out about the Temptation of the Velazquez and the Life and Works of Miguel Hernandez. At the La Mata Natural Park there are the Birds to learn all about, and in Guardamar Del Segura you can discover the Venetian remains of a Monastery which were exposed as the sand dunes shifted. Also, there is a Theatrical Visit to the Torre Vigia in Torre de la Horadada and another one to the Museo Gratiniano Baches in Pilar de la Horadada.
Santa Cecilia, the patron saint of music and musicians is celebrated on the 22nd November, so many towns and villages will be honouring her with special concerts. There is a Concert in Guardamar del Segura on Sunday morning and another in Almoradi on Saturday evening.
Finally, the Spoon Gastronomy week starts on Monday in Torrevieja where 12 local restaurants will be offering a three course meal for various prices ranging from 15€ to 30€ per person.
