The centre of Dolores is dominated by the large and impressive blue domed church which occupies the palm tree lined central plaza. The town hall is situated right beside the church and also houses the helpful tourist office. The weekly Friday morning market is located a few streets away and often has more than eighty stalls selling everything from shoes to bags, clothes to toys and fresh locally produced fruit and vegetables. Situated on the edge of Dolores is a large open air summer only swimming pool and nearby is the small Countryside Museum which is free to visit and is open on Saturday mornings.
