Torrevieja May Fair
A reduced version of the annual May Fair will take place in Torrevieja from the 11th to the 14th May 2023. Due to the building of the Paseo del Mar Commercial and Entertainment Centre, this years edition of the Sevillian Fair has been relocated to the Parque de la Estasion at the end of the Via Verde. There will be 7 casitas which will open at 20:00 when there will be a preformance from 2 local dance schools.
BELOW IS THE PROGRAMME FROM THE 2019 EDITION
The fair has a traditional Andalusian feel to it and is always worth enjoying. The programme is packed with some great free shows, including horse parades and flamenco dancing. There is also a large firework display and the opportunity to try some traditional foods from the 'casetas' which are special erected marquees. Take your camera as there will be ladies wearing flamenco dresses by the hundreds, men in traditional countryside costumes and masses of horses. The fair ground will be open everyday for you to visit and enjoy some typical Andalusian cuisine and atmosphere, although it is mainly an evening event with a party atmosphere. It is located beside the Marina in Torrevieja and entrance to the Fair Ground is free.
Wednesday 29th May 2019
20:30 Inauguration of the Festival (at the fair ground beside the marina) and switching on of the fair ground lights, followed by fireworks.
Saturday 1st June 2019
13:00 Horses and Carriage Parade from the church to the fair ground, where the parade continues until 17:00.
Sunday 2nd June 2019
11:00 Horse and Carriage Parade around the fair ground
22:45 Closure of the Sevillanas Fair
