Pilar de la Horadada Easter Parades
The Easter Parades in Pilar de la Horadada are well worth seeing if you are local to the town. This year, 2022 they start on Saturday 10th April and continue almost daily until Easter Sunday on the 16th April. The processions offer the same as the ones in the cities and other places such as Murcia, Elche, Crevillent and Orihuela where the celebrations have been award International Tourist Interest status, just on a much smaller scale.
The Parade Routes are in the brochure below and the processions are:
Palm Sunday 10th April Domingo de Ramos
11:00 Palms Procession with the statue of Jesús Triunfante.
20:00 Procession of the Mantillas (shawls) with the statue Ntra. Sra. de la Esperanza Pilareña.

Holy Wednesday 13th April Miercoles Santo
22:00 Procession of the Meeting at the Street of Bitterness with the four statues, each follow a different route to the doors of the town hall where they all meet and form a big procession to the church square for a reading, a prayer and the handing out of the blessed Rosemary.
Holy Thursday 14th April Jueves Santo
22:30 Silence Procession with the statue of Cristo Crucificado, when all of the street lights are turned off
Good Friday 15th April Viernes Santo
20:00 Holy Burial Procession with 11 statues
Easter Sunday 17th April Domingo de Pascua
09:30 Meeting Procession with the staues of Sra. de los Dolores, San Juan Apóstol y Evangelista and Santísimo Cristo
