Join us, Jessica and David, on a brand-new adventure as we take the train to Madrid for some festive pre-Christmas fun! We’ve added a new date, and tickets are just €10 more than our December 5th & 6th trip (which is already sold out) due to an increase in train fares.
We’re all set to board the 07:53 high-speed Ouigo train from Alicante, which will whisk us straight to the heart of Madrid, arriving at 10:23. Whether you’re eager to dive right into exploring from Chamartín station with your light luggage or prefer a quick 5km cab ride to the hotel, you’re in for a treat. Or, if you’re up for a little metro fun, join us on Line 10 for six stops to Alonso Martínez station—just 200 metres from the hotel—where you can drop off your overnight bag (metro ticket included in the price, of course!).
Madrid is a playground of endless possibilities, and with the magical Christmas lights sparkling all around, how you spend your time is entirely up to you! Fancy exploring world-class museums? Shopping till you drop? Catching a dazzling musical? Or simply soaking up the festive atmosphere? Don’t forget the charming Christmas markets and the must-see Cortylandia show. The choices are limitless! On Friday December 13th, after a delicious hot buffet breakfast, you’ll have all have the entire day to continue enjoying the vibrant, diverse delights of magnificent Madrid. When it’s time to head back, we’ll regroup at the hotel and take the metro (yes, that ticket’s included, too!) for our 18:15 return train.
We’ll be staying at the 4-star Eurostars Central Hotel, which offers a hot buffet breakfast and is perfectly located. It’s just 900 metres from the lively Gran Vía, 1.3 km from bustling Sol, and 1.8 km from the majestic Royal Palace. Plus, with two underground stations within 200 metres, you’re just a quick hop away from all the action—whether it’s one stop to Gran Vía, two to Sol, or three to the Opera.
