Zaragoza City and More Coach Tour with Jessica and David is an unforgettable 5 day adventure filled with history, culture, and stunning landscapes!
We begin with an early departure, making two relaxing stops along the way, before arriving in the charming town of Teruel, a true gem of Mudejar architecture. After grabbing a bite to eat, jump on the Tourist Train for an exciting ride past the town’s iconic landmarks, from its towering spires to its beautiful cathedral dome. Later, we continue to Zaragoza, where we check into our hotel around 18:00, ready to unwind and look forward to the next day’s exploration.
The next day is yours to discover Zaragoza at your own pace! Visit the impressive Basílica del Pilar, with its towering spires and panoramic views, and the magnificent Cathedral of San Salvador (La Seo), where you can marvel at the intricate Mudéjar details and the awe-inspiring Main Altarpiece. Explore the city’s fascinating Roman heritage at the Municipal Museums, or be swept away by the artistic treasures at the Goya Museum and IAACC Pablo Serrano. For a unique twist, don’t miss the Origami Museum! Relax in Luis Buñuel Water Park or Parque Grande, and for a true highlight, visit the Fresh Water River Aquarium, Europe’s largest — home to an incredible variety of river species!
The next morning, we head to the hauntingly beautiful Belchite, a ghost village frozen in time after being devastated during the Spanish Civil War. With a guided tour, you’ll walk through the ruins of this poignant site, where history is felt in every crumbling wall. After exploring, enjoy a leisurely lunch in the modern part of the village before returning to Zaragoza to unwind and soak up the Sunday afternoon charm.
The following day, we journey to the peaceful Monasterio de Piedra, an ancient Cistercian monastery nestled in nature’s beauty. Wander through the monastery’s ruins, explore the Carriage Room and Chocolate Exhibition. Jessica and David will keep you on track along the scenic 5 km walk through the lush landscapes leading you past spectacular waterfalls, crystal-clear lakes, hidden grottoes, and cool, shaded woodlands. After a delightful Menu del Día lunch, we return to Zaragoza in the afternoon.
On our final day, we take a leisurely journey home, with a stop in the picturesque coastal town of Port Saplaya – known as the “Venice of Valencia.” Stroll along the vibrant promenade, enjoy a delicious lunch by the canals, and soak in the relaxed seaside atmosphere before continuing home, arriving locally around 19:00, with a treasure chest of memories.
