Live it like a local! A unique opportunity to experience the oldest and most traditional Three Kings Parade in the whole of Spain.
We delve into this magical time of the year and bring out our inner child! We stop in Toy Valley and visit the museum to see what the Three Wise Men used to deliver to the good children when the toy making industry was in it’s infancy. Following a Menu del Dia we check into the comfortable 4* Sercotel in Alcoy. The celebrations start that evening with the Tio Piam and Bando Real Parades during which the children deposit their wish list letters into mail boxes transported by donkeys. In the morning on the day of the Cabalgata, we have an hour guided tour of Alcoy to get to know all about its world famous Christmas traditions before enjoying a scenic drive up into the Font Roja Natural Park for a woodland picnic with drinks. That evening the Pajes Negros climb their ladders and the Three Kings arrive on camels to give their gifts to the New Born King. All of this is topped off with ringing of the bells and the obligatory firework display. We spend the morning of the final day returning to the coast for a couple of hours in the city of Alicante, where there are plenty of bars and cafes open and the promenade to wander along.
